    Responsibilities

    The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Engineer will do the following:

    • Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and the operating principles
    • Maintains, diagnoses, and repairs all HVAC electrical and mechanical equipment center-wide.
    • Installs and replaces HVAC components center-wide or entire HVAC systems center-wide
    • Makes periodic inspections of HVAC equipment center-wide; adjusts and services them as necessary
    • Performs additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment when necessary such as performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure readiness
    • Consults with Facilities Manager in the preparation of specifications for HVAC work
    • Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs, etc.
    • Establishes and maintains records relating to HVAC maintenance of center mechanical equipment
    • May operate trucks and other center vehicles
    • Attends staff training sessions
    • Stays informed  and up-to-date on HVAC advances and emerging technologies

    Qualifications

    Minimum: High School graduate or equivalent.  Two years experience in the field of HVAC maintenance.  HVAC certification required.

     

    Preferred:  Extensive experience.

     

    General Information:  In order to perform the essential job functions of this position, candidate must have regular attendance

     

    Knowledge Required:  Ability to obtain a State driver's license.  Knowledge of installing, operating, and maintaining all aspects of temperature control systems.  Ability to operate hand and power tools.

     

    All post offer candidates must complete and pass a background check and drug screen.
