Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, mechanical equipment, etc.

  • Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and the operating principles
  • Performs general maintenance and repairs of buildings, furnishings and equipment center-wide
  • Consults with Maintenance/Logistics Supervisor in the preparation of specifications for construction and modification work
  • Reads and works from blueprint specifications
  • Analyzes and repairs problems with appliances, heating and air-conditioning units
  • Makes periodic inspections of center mechanical equipment; adjusts and services them as necessary
  • Maintains buildings performing routine and minor/major painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other related maintenance activities
  • Establishes and maintains records relating to periodic maintenance of center mechanical equipment
  • May operate trucks and other center vehicle
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent. Two years experience in the field of building maintenance that includes electrical, plumbing, carpentry work, and heating/air conditioning.


Preferred: Extensive experience

 

Knowledge Required: Ability to obtain a State driver’s and CDL license. Knowledge of building construction and maintenance, plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, etc. Ability to operate hand and power tools.
