Residential Advisors provide a safe, supportive, and predictable environment in dormitory supervision of Job Corps trainees in their daily activities, monitoring their progress in attaining performance contract goals and objectives and utilizing behavior management and intentional and consistent Core Value driven practices.  Conducts dormitory operations in accordance to Center operating policy and procedures and in accordance with CSD Operating Procedures. - Assists students in adjusting to Center life by providing supervision, behavior modification, and acting as a mentor. - Ensures that students meet required schedule, waking on time and being on time for work or school assignments. - Ensures that students are adequately prepared for the training day;students are dressed appropriately, etc. - Practices and models core values, as well as, conducts groups teaching and clarifying Core Values for students, with Case Manager assistance. - Provides daily supervision or assistance in monitoring students in personal hygiene, room/chore assignments, special recreation activities, cafeteria monitoring, transportation and programmed activities. - Provides informal counseling in relation to stress management, personal problems, emergency or home situations, etc., with students, and provides insight into responsible behaviors and attitudes.

The C.N.A Instructor is responsible for the development and implementation of the Job Corps Health Occupation Trades Program Levels 2 and 3 and phase 2 and 3 using Job Corps and Center developed curriculum.  Manages and conducts vocational training in classroom/clinical setting.   - Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation - Provides classroom and hands-on training experiences for students enrolled in the Health Occupation Trades program using actual demonstrations of appropriate health care. - Teaches CPR/First Aid/AED - Teaches, certifies qualified students as  PSS - Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting and at off center clinical sites  in order to insure maximum learning - Establishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport - Utilizes all possible curriculum resources available - Responsible for the maintenance of student training achievement records - Performs other duties as assigned 

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for responding to general maintenance work orders throughout the center/academy.    - Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and operating principles - Performs interior and exterior center janitorial, building maintenance and ground keeping assignments according to work order - Performs minor building construction tasks. - Mows lawns, maintains grounds, picks up trash and papers. - Cares for plants, trees and flowers. - Insures that all tools and equipment are in good repair and kept in appropriate storage shed and closets. - Transports equipment and/or commodities throughout the center. - Change light bulbs, replaces faculty electrical cords, etc. - Adheres to all PRH, PAG, CDSS and CSDC policies and procedures, and the Center’s Operating Procedures. - Ensures all equipment and facilities are clean and maintained in accordance with Center, CSD and DOL standards. - Attends all training sessions and staff meetings as scheduled. Is CPR and First Aid Certifiable. - Maintains a work environment of zero accident and injuries including no loss-time accidents. - Ensures a work environment that provides an equal opportunity for all. - Performs other duties as assigned.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse assists in the medical care and treatment of students.   - Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and the operating principles. - Assists in conducting cursory examinations and physicals. - Assists in evaluation and treatment of students during sick call as per Job Corps Standing Orders. - Takes and records patient’s vital signs. - Performs phlebotomy procedures as required. - Administers specified medications and notes times and amounts on patients’ charts.  Observes students and report adverse reactions to medication to Health Services Supervisor. - Schedules medical appointments. - Sterilizes equipment and supplies.  Follows infection control procedures.  Documents all procedures, counseling and education provided to students. - Attends required staff training sessions. - Performs other duties as assigned.

The Outreach and Admissions Counselor conducts outreach activities with community partners to create referral partnerships that refer eligible applicants for enrollment in the Job Corps Program. Plans, manages and coordinates community relations activities. - Understands, supports, and practices the Core Values in all aspects of job performance and interactions with staff and trainees. - Establishes and develops meaningful relationships with members of the local community to keep them well informed about Job Corps training opportunities for qualified youth. - Regularly makes presentations about Job Corps and eligibility requirements to community partners, schools, youth groups, etc. - Develops MOUs with community partners to establish meaningful and productive referral partnerships to ensure a consistent flow of eligible applicants to Outreach and Admissions Counselors. - Tracks and analyzes on an on-going basis the effectiveness and efficiency of outreach programs. - Formulates plans, reports on linkages between the outreach and admissions contract and Department of Labor and various community agencies. - Monitors social media and reviews and approves positive stories for posting. - Develops public awareness materials such as newsletters, brochures, posters, etc.  Develops marketing materials to reach targeted groups (i.e. young woman, underserved populations, etc.) to engage and encourage enrollment. - Ensures the full utilization and distribution of Job Corps developed marketing materials - May participate on community service boards and local workforce and training associations, etc. - Provides referrals to support center Industry and Community Relations Councils. - Attends in-service training sessions. - Provides in-service training for departmental staff as required.

The Security Officer is responsible for enforcing all laws, rules and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department. - Enforces all authorized laws, rules and regulations. - Transports students in company vehicle. - Patrols assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions. - Aids and assists visitors, students and staff. - Performs building security and safety checks. - Receives complaints and makes appropriate preliminary investigations. - Provides escort service as directed. - Investigates vehicular accidents at center. - Issues visitor passes and temporary vehicle permits. - Participates in the disciplinary process as established at the center, including zero tolerance for violence and drugs.

The TEAP Specialist is responsible for the design, development and coordination of the Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Prevention/Intervention Program.   - Designs, develops and implements all programs related to substance use and abuse prevention and intervention in conjunction with the Mental Health Consultant, Counseling and Health Services staff, Center Physician and Center Director. - Coordinates all programs designed to reduce and eliminate substance use and abuse. - Works with Health and Wellness staff and Center Standards Office for the collection of drug test specimens, the documentation of results, and the consultation with students regarding results. - Provides individual counseling for students regarding substance abuse and prevention, and healthy choices. - Prepares and facilitates group sessions with students enrolled in the center’s TEAP program. - Schedules and facilitates student activities related to the center’s TEAP program. - Conducts weekly presentations for all new students regarding TEAP services, prevention, education, intervention, and Job Corps policies. - Conducts regular presentations for all students participating in program areas and transitioning out of the Job Corps program on managing substance misuse, abuse, and dependency issues in the workplace. - Develops and facilitates three annual center-wide substance use prevention and education activities. - Conducts in-service training sessions with both staff and students in all areas related to substance use and abuse. - Submits recommendations to the Center Director for medical separations related to substance misuse and abuse in conjunction with the Mental Health Consultant, center physician, and Health and Wellness Manager. - Acts as liaison between the center and agency resources and referral contacts. - Completes drug use risk assessments on all new intake students in conjunction with Mental Health Consultant and Counseling. - Monitors behavior and progress of students involved in TEAP. - Maintains confidential reports and records on all referrals and cases. Maintains all documentation of student results and group and activity participation. - Complete pre-arrival phone calls to new applicants on an as needed basis. - Prepares and submits appropriate reports as required. - Facilitates Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyle (HEALS) groups in conjunction with Recreation and Health and Wellness Staff.

The Recreation Specialist directs trainees in leisure-time recreation/non-vocational activities and leadership programs.   - Orders and issues materials, supplies, films and game equipment upon supervisor’s review and approval. - Develops and operates weekly game activities. - Assists in center-sponsored trips and events. - Coaches teams engaged in activities on and off center. - Assists trainees in drama and other creative activities. - Helps train trainees in recreation/non-vocational aide program. - Ensures that all programs comply with DOL requirements. - Transports students as needed to off center events. - Assists in organization and implementation of the recreation/non-vocational programs and encourages trainees’ participation.
