The Recreation Assistant is responsible for the recreation/non-vocational activities of assigned students. - Organizes, conducts and directs recreation/non-vocational activities. - Supervises student recreation/non-vocational activities, on and off center. - Assists in the planning and formulation of student recreation/non-vocational programs with special emphasis on the safety aspects of each activity. - May order supplies and equipment. - Instructs, assists, and encourages the students’ participation in recreation/non-vocational equipment. - Maintains recreation/non-vocational equipment. - Coaches or supervises various sports activities. - Attends required staff training sessions. - Maintains professional relationships between staff and students, abiding by the Employee Rules of Conduct. - Ensures the cleanliness of all assigned Recreational areas.

Develop, implement and monitor the Mental Health Program to include staff development, mental health counseling of students, AODA (Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse) program counseling, according to the Job Corps Federal Regulations and the (PRH) Policy and Requirements Handbook. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  - Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and the operating principles. - Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Center’s Mental Health Program, including supervision of all mental health interns and employees. - Advises the Center Director and Health Services staff of all mental health matters. - Conducts staff development and training in the use of mental health principles and techniques. - Develops, schedules and documents weekly staff training as required by Job Corps Federal Regulations and the PRH. - Consults and promotes the coordination and integration of mental health with other Center programs and activities, including Counseling, Residential Life, Education and Recreation in cooperation with Center Health Services staff and other Center staff.  - Provides consultation with Health Services staff and all other appropriate staff concerning Mental Health issues with students. - Develops constructive programs for meeting students’ mental health issues and working with the Center disciplinary, maximum benefits, inter-group relations and the AODA prevention programs. - Documents and submits forms and correspondence to local, State and Federal agencies to meet all requirements of the program. - Ensures and maintains confidentiality of all records. - Issues and maintains Standing Orders on all mental health issues as required by the Federal Job Corps program. - Provides evaluation and diagnostic services to inpatient or outpatient students. - Provides limited psychiatric treatment as permitted by licensure. - Provides appropriate case information to Center staff on a need-to-know basis. - Arranges off Center referrals and treatments (inpatient and outpatient) as needed, according to Job Corps health directives. - Provides on-call mental health services for emergencies, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.  MHC may provide services by phone or in person.  May choose arrangements for services on behalf of the Center for appropriate services. - Provides documentation and referrals of students who are recommended for termination from the program.

Residential Advisors provide a safe, supportive, and predictable environment in dormitory supervision of Job Corps trainees in their daily activities, monitoring their progress in attaining performance contract goals and objectives and utilizing behavior management and intentional and consistent Core Value driven practices.  Conducts dormitory operations in accordance to Center operating policy and procedures and in accordance with CSD Operating Procedures. - Assists students in adjusting to Center life by providing supervision, behavior modification, and acting as a mentor. - Ensures that students meet required schedule, waking on time and being on time for work or school assignments. - Ensures that students are adequately prepared for the training day;students are dressed appropriately, etc. - Practices and models core values, as well as, conducts groups teaching and clarifying Core Values for students, with Case Manager assistance. - Provides daily supervision or assistance in monitoring students in personal hygiene, room/chore assignments, special recreation activities, cafeteria monitoring, transportation and programmed activities. - Provides informal counseling in relation to stress management, personal problems, emergency or home situations, etc., with students, and provides insight into responsible behaviors and attitudes.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing facility maintenance / general upkeep duties in various highly skilled trade areas.   - Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and the operating principles - Performs necessary skilled work in more than one area of plumbing, hot water heating (boiler)  systems, carpentry, cafeteria equipment repair and other skill trade areas as needed - Performs carpentry work in repairing or replacing doors, windows, walls, flooring, roofing and any other work pertaining to wood structures, and performs minor construction such as building storage bins, stockroom shelves, counter, work benches, etc.  Uses precision hand tools and power tools. - Performs plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning work in repairing or replacing furnaces, duct work, air conditioners, piping instrument controls, wash basins, toilet facilities and any other work pertaining to heating, air-conditioning and plumbing facilities that doesn’t required a certified technician to perform. - Performs electrical work in repairing and replacing fluorescent fixtures, control switches, disconnecting wiring and any other work pertaining to electrical facilities that doesn’t require a certified technician to perform. - Ability to read and work from blueprint specifications. - Adheres to all PRH, PAG, CDSS and CSDC policies and procedures, and the Center’s Operating Procedures
